How are you purchsing your 1/2 with joint funds? The spouse would be entitled to some of the funds and could force you to sell your shares to pay her off.
See a Lawyer before doing either and see if there is protction for you.

Depends on what state you live in and if your is a community property state. If you are already divorced, there is no issue - except that she may try to come after you for more alimony/child support if you are making more money. If you are looking at getting divorced soon, I would just wait until that happens - don't want to muddy the water anymore. If you are happily married, why would you ask this question??
.
If i was gonna get a divorce i would get one of my mates to put my money and property in their name until its over then give me it back after my wife has taken half of not much.

Depends on the state, and length of time married. Try putting in another persons name, or have her sign a post nup to prevent her from taking it. Also if you think you are going to get a divorce, go ahead and do it then take the pizza offer.
