I would like to learn about buying shares. Are there any sites to help me?
I would prefer a site that helps me track my test investments.

Msn money it is very easy to understand and you can create a fantasy portfolio to see how you would do in a real situation.

Yahoo finance has everything you need. Key in your test porfolio and watch it daily.

Here is the link. Click on "my portfolios" in the upper right.

I've listed a few sites below that may help you learn the basics, most have some sort of portfolio tracking facility.

You can pick up price histories from Yahoo.

Good luck

to buy shares go to any bank. they will give you the run down on share dealing. yes you can go on the web site and television.

can't be said enough - just get started. Nothing really to learn as regards process or execution. Just do it. Test investments & learning are excuses that prevent people from acting when they need to. No need to test buying a S&P 500 index fund or etf. No need to test buying a Treasury Inflation Protected bond or IAU the gold etf. Just get an account at schwab.com or wherever & get going.
