HSBC bank is good right now, ..
I own 5 rental properties now, and with 26 tenants, I began 5 years ago. I see many people coming and going with of the US Military. These are good hard working people, who have seen more than any of us. And because they have served thier country, gotten good pay doing it, ... its only wise to do the most with it when they come home. Some have listen to me, some dont.

Really depends on how long you would like to invest and how much risk your willing to take. You can always put that money in a money market account to make some interest or buy some treasury bills both these investments are very safe. If you like risk go to the market right now prices are low on many stocks so it could be a good deal on some stocks but this requires some research. |

What I did is trading forex through a couple of online brokers like www.fxpro.com or www.eglobal-forex.com and using only Expert Adviser (EA), an automatic trading tool that will do the trading for you which will minimized the risk when trading manually. For the EA I used from www.viking234.com and they give me a magnificent monthly gain ranging from 8-30%!
Check for scam thru Google: click www.fxpro.com scam or www.eglobal-forex.com scam.
The other important thing is the tool for online trading such as the EA I currently used.
I don't know about you but it works for me....

I say BUY BUY BUY and hold of course. But First, do diligent research on each company before you buy. Check out the old and latest headlines. I would suggest you join yahoo's DayTrades@yahoogroups .com to network with other investors. This is not a good short selling period but a great time to get in some good affordable housing...oops I mean stocks. lol Good luck! |

In the current economic situation, investing is very tricky. To put your fiance's money to work I would look into less risky investment areas. These increase treasury bills and bonds.
Investing in stocks is more risky, especially in the current situation. To minimize this risk you may want to look into investing in a diversified portfolio that expands across many industries. Also the longer you invest money for the less the variability of the market will influence your returns. |

If you aren't saavy in investing put your money in a money market mutual fund. You might be able to get 4%. OR a CD. You are at too much risk if you don't have good councelling. If you invest in stock, you will be like everyone else, and you will be "hoping" that they come back. If you do buy stocks, it is best to buy on line, get in a stock investing club. There will be money to make in the market in the next year. |
