Duh...you would have profited $80. Maybe you shouldn't be buying and selling trades if you can't figure out simple math.

Profit of $10 a share times 8 shares, so $80. Simple math ;)

8x25=200
8x35=280
280-200=$80 minus the trade/commission fees that you paid to buy and sell.

For instance, if you used Trade King Online Brokerage, they charge $4.95 per trade so your fees for both the "buy" and "sell" will be $9.90, thus

$80 -$9.90 =$70.10 profit.

Hope that helps! Day trading and short term trading can be fun but be careful in the current market, you may not gain much in the long term. You may also pay taxes at the end of the year for all capital gains/realized profits and income. Since you may be new in investing, try and use books in the library to study or research online-investopedia.com. By the way what stock was that?? I guess exchange of info is no robbery...Lol!

Well, first off, 1 share will appreciate $10, so you will make $80 with 8 shares ($10x8). That is about a 30% appreciation in value. I would highly recommend that you get a stock program if you want to constantly buy and sell stocks as it will help you buy and sell at the right time.
