Research research research!!! And diversify. invest slowly over time. do not put it all in on one day or week. spread it out over a couple of months, this way you don't catch a high. There are tons of online sites with information about specific company's. Don't put anything in, you can't afford to lose .try investopedia.com to learn, if you are short on knowledge about investing. Read daily the wallstreet journal. And stay away from that t.v. show mad money If you hear about a hot stock, its to late, most likely. Try also MSN site for company information. the price of a stock is not what you are looking for, you should be more interested in the Price to earning ratio. A "cheap" $20 dollar stock could end up being more expensive than an "60-$80" dollar stock and yes ford at $8? yeah I would be kidding if I told you to buy that. |
