Gold.
Since I carry no debt to speak of & view the market as ready for a downturn in response to the housing bubble burst, with the dollar weakening steadily every year, I am bullish on the yellow metal. Silver & other metals too.
Everbank offers a CD you can hold in Euros. The Eurozone continues to lend money to the rest of the world with its balanced budgets & solid growth economies while the US annually slips deeper down the chasm of red ink & massive debt.
Whatever you do, if you don't need the money soon, get it out of dollars & into something else. IMHPOV.

I wouldn't buy gold, I think it's too expensive. I'd do some research into some companies to buy stock in. Run a stock screen to find companies that have good stats. High Return on Equity, profit margins, earnings growth, low debt/equity, etc. If you can find a company that's trading well off it's 200-day avg, but otherwise looks good, it may be a good buy, bc it's probably a value stock. |
