I would go to my bank sit down with a customer service person and tell them you need a broker to buy some stock shares. Once I am talking to a broker, I would buy as many shares of (company X). I'd let it grow until retirement.

With 1000. start a CD at a bank 10 yr It pays the most % then a 5 yr 500. a 2 yr 500. if you can on payday deposit 50. from pay divide it to the 3 accounts I did this 2 yrs ago almost a 5K and best advice stay away from finance advisors.
