and what is the best acoount for teens 16+? |

they will grow only marginally. banks provide a vey small interest on your money. however, if you invest in some of the more risky schemes, sometimes offered by banks like mutual fund etc. then may be your money will grow faster.
in summary do not expect ur money to grow in bank... |

I'd suggest ING. There is no minimum on their savings account, very competitive interest rates, and a great interactive section on their website for kids - although it's geared more for -16. |

It will grow you open a savings account with interest and you keep adding to it and dont take any money out. Check around at your local banks and credit unions and watch out for hidden fees. |

It won't grow much, interest rates are pretty low.
For teens, you can open a regular bank account, so you can learn about saving money and not having money you don't intend to spend in your pocket.
After you have a regular bank account. You can open an account with ING Direct, which is a online bank that has a higher interest rate then regular banks. Ask your parents or another adult that you can trust to help you out. |

I dont know what the best account for teens is, Im a teen and have an account but my parents set it up. And money will start to 'grow'. you get a small amount of money in interest every year...the more money you have in the bank the more interest you get. |

check your local banks and credit unions interest rates. The higher the rate, the more money you'll earn. |

Yes your money will grow, however a snail will probably crawl a cross the USA before you acctually see any growth. Banks are run by Satan himself. How can the justifiy giving an interest rate of .5%. Check into Mutual Funds or Life Insurance. They will at least give you a chance to earn growth and give you something for the future. If you would like info on ways to acctually earn something with your money please email me. |

Not substantially, even if you put it in an investment account like a CD you still won't see a noticeable increase. You are still young, try investing in the stock market instead. |

Yes it grows... just real slowly at current interest rates...
Best account for you... Savings... Every time you recieve money... at least 10% goes in it. If you continue this for 40 years... you will live very comfortably. |
