GSDMAN | If you won the lottery how do you invest it to make more money off the lottery money? |

I'd keep doing the same thing I'm doing now, i.e., invest in companies with strong fundamentals and use technical analysis to determine entry and exit points.

first, don't tell anyone.
second, don't invest in anything you don't understand
index funds & CDs are easy and reasonably secure.
Real Estate is good but requires more knowledge and active participation.
Starting your business assumes you have the experience and desire to run one.
Personally, it would depend on how much, and if I needed to live off the income. I'd put it into a few key index funds. Keep a small amount out if you want to speculate on something (5%)
Take a small amount and do something for you or your family. |

make an investment in a business you can have fun with and hopefully make money. cd's are a sure but small earnings bet. buying land is good if you don't get taken on the price. but above all, have some fun with some and invest some. |

If I won the lottery, (depending on how much), (assuming 1 million or more) I would put the whole thing in individual AAA rated insured Municipal bonds. They are tax- free and I would live off the income(tax-free of course) and keep my principal. (I know this doesn't do well for your growth scenerio, but thats what I would do) |
