Congratulations for being a millionaire. Give and it shall be given unto thee so says the Bible. Please give the money to charities like AIDS organizations in Africa(Kenya), children orphanege homes ( Kenya), Street Kids rehabilitation and last but not least, help the Kenya Government educate children from primary to secondary as they have promised.
Give a person fish and you feed him for a day, teach him how to catch fish and you feed him for the rest of his life. So set up a "school" , teach people how to be millionaires like you. In that case we will have many millionaires and the world would be such a nice place to live in! No financial worries.! Lastly donate to Christian Organizations like bennyhinn.org to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world. |

We give money to the humaine society and childrens international but I would look closely at a child illness charity if I had a great amount of money. Children are the most worthwhile causes. |

The best way to your 1 million dollars charity is giving it to me. I'd create from it several million and then could donate it to unicef or similar organizations.

This sounds like a hypothetical question. I can't see a real millionaire coming to Yahoo Answers to ask this question.
I know one I'd stay away from because of personal experience gifting them from an estate settlement. They wouldn't sign the papers because they wanted to believe they were being cheated out of some money that was due them and it took months to get them to sign the papers so we could move on to closing probate. So I'd NOT donate to the Salvation Army.
BUT
I would donate to the Red Cross. They help people suffering from disasters throughout the U.S.
Timmy's idea of the Humane Society is excellent.
You could do a lot of good donating to the ASPCA or various animal rescue organizations.
I don't think I'd put the entire amount in one place... but would spread it around a bit.
If I had the money, I'd set up grant funding for small farmers as this is a very hard life and they all have to work multiple jobs to keep the farms afloat. |
