I don't have much money, and I dont know where to start or even think how to open a business. My most important question is LOCATION but where do I even start searching. This idea just kind of ran into my head.
This is want I think:
Upside to opening a Internet cafe : Easy to hire new employees, overhead could be minimal. Could be profitable.
Downside: Many users will have internet access at home, will it even be necessary to have a internet cafe.
one of my answers a couple of months ago said :
"I actually think that is one of the worst business ideas. I think you should rethink that. No one pays to go on the computer in a cafe. everyone has laptops. They rather go sit in a starbucks."

Maybe a good investment opportunity in a less developed country. I just returned from Costa Rica. I had to wait as long as 15 to 30 minutes in some locations to get the use of a computer. I have pen pals in Africa that go to their internet cafe every day. The going rate in Costa Rica was $1.00 to $2.00 an hour. The average cafe had 6 computers and I would estimate they were 60% used 10 hours a day, giving gross revenue of $54 a day. |

I agree with your answerer. The situation has been totally changed, everyone has its own computer or labptop to use intenet at his or her home. Its also depends upon that what is the location, where do you want to open. If you are still in the area where people dont has facility at home then it will be good to start otherwise you must think about another idea. Good luck. |

It is true it may depend on the location. Even though a lot of people have laptops or personal home computers there are still those who are more comfortable typing and socializing outside their home. Another is that places like schools and offices may be a good place to start with it would be wise considering location. All in all I think the internet cafe business is just like any other business that just needs three good elements Location, Demand, devotion. Good Luck brother! |
