Is Cheap Oil going to collapse the dollar, and What happens when the dollar collapses, What should I do?
Man predicted $50 Oil in July:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQDw9M_2dGw

He said it was going to happen, and it did, and the dollar will collapse as a result
I heard that U.S. Dept is 10.5 Trillion and Middle Eastern Oil companies and middle eastern Countries buy up the dept for some reason, why tho?

That when Oil Goes to $50, It will hurt Middle Eastern Oil companies causing them to go bankrupt in about 6 months.

As a result, they will stop buying up our dept causing the dollar to collapse.

Do you think this is true? Then if the dollar collapses, what will the price of oil do, What if it doesn't collapse, and dollar goes bank down, will oil go back to $150 a barrell?? This is where i get confused.

I also heard after this happens, The Dollar Collapses, Pushing America and the world in a global depression, and out of that they will introduce the AMERO- The New Currency for the solution.

What will happen if the dollar collapses, What should I do to protect my family?

Oil is ultimately a commodity, and commodities act inverse of the US Dollar, as the selloff in oil is attributed to two factors, the growing economic recession and the strengthening US Dollar. The dollar has been gaining strength relative to other currencies because the US was expected to be the weakest player as it was at the center of the cause of this recession. However, as it eventually played out, the US was not the only problem source, so was much of Europe. This pushed the dollar higher and other currencies lower, which resulted in oil prices going lower. Therefore, a dramatic collapse in the dollar will result in hyperinflation, as oil prices will spike along with other commodities. I currently am expecting us to experience some relatively strong inflation as the economy recovers, as the US Dollar will continue to deteriorate as it did last year and commodity prices will again reach record highs. If the dollar does happen to collapse, the best way to protect wealth is through investment in hard commodities, such as buying gold and silver bullion. Therefore, my suggestion would be to consider allocating a portion of your investments to commodities that are little influenced by economic conditions, with gold being your most promising investment, as it will hold its value best. The issues you addressed above seem like doomsday scenarios that have an extremely low likelihood of happening, as it appears that oil prices are putting in a floor at the $50 level, a level at which large-scale highly-efficient oil producers are still capable of generating a profit and have minimal risk of going bankrupt. Further, do you honestly expect that OPEC wouldn't take dramatic action (in the form of output cuts) when oil hit a level that it was no longer profitable? OPEC just convened this weekend and decided against an output cut, which lends support to the idea that a floor in oil is developing at the $50 level. If OPEC was in risk of bankruptcy it would dramatically reduce output to support prices, which is not happening in a scale that would be alarming. Either way, commodities should always be a portion of any well diversified portfolio to hedge inflation. Just my thoughts, I hope they help.

Best of luck!

Inexpensive oil will help rebuild the U.S. economy.

Recession is a natural part of our economy. When we experience a lengthy period of government and consumer overspending, inflation grows out of control. A recession naturally keeps overspending and inflation in check. Prior to the recession of 1929, we had almost a decade of government and consumer overspending. The recession of 1987 was a result of government and consumer overspending during Reagan's presidency. The recession of 2008 is the result of almost two decades of government and consumer overspending.

Prior to our current recession, the price of oil had inflated to over $100 a barrel. This forced businesses and consumers to make financial cut backs. Now, oil is $50 a barrel and is once again affordable.

Gradually, the U.S. economy will rebuild itself and we will repeat this cycle again. Our history is full of economic ups and downs.

If you want really think that the dollar will fall a lot, you might want to invest in the Short Dollar ETF symbol (UDN). When the dollar goes down the Short Dollar ETF goes up, and the reverse occurs when the dollar goes up. Since this is the investing part, of yahoo answers, that is my take.

okay throughout history there were always these weird ideas and stupid predictions... the sky is falling stuff... In 5 years this will be forgotten and something new will be said.. In the 1930's it was obviously bad in the 1970's it was bad and in 2002 I remember the market dropped. It's another cycle, and in 5 years once this blows over it will be something different... Be educated about it don't worry or stress about it. What people say on You Tube what people say in blogs are making things worse through their propaganda it's really annoying. I am sure i'll get thumbs down for this comment because people are too brain washed already.. it truly is a shame!
