Is GE stock a good stock to hold onto?

Every analyst I've ever seen or heard seems to say that GE has the best management staff in the world... and they do seem to stay on the cutting edge of the different industries they run. They could easily be a " mainstay" in ANY portfolio.
Collect the divvys and watch them work.

It is the ONLY stock I own. I deal almost exclusively in ETF's for diversification. I bought it recently because its a well diversified conglomerate with a high yield. I say grab it while its cheap.

My opinion? Yes, it's a great stock to hold onto and buy more of. I am especially confident of that after reading in Troy's answer that Bill Oh'Really? doesn't like them.

GE's business model generates them income in all kinds of market condtions, and their dividend yield of over 4% makes them a sound source of free money for shareholders.

The current dip in price is probably a good opportunity to get some more!

I guess it depends on when you bought it, but overall, Yes, GE is good for the long term.

dk
Yes, it is a bargain. They have a very huge potential in the future. They are involved in everything. Good fundamentals and it's really darn cheap.
