Is investing in Sony stocks a good financial decision? Why or why not?

Sony's ben an underperformer since 2-3 years now due to some stiff competition from samsung in consumer electronics and Apple in their strong personal players segment, Microsoft and Nintendo in the traditionally strong game segment. But, finally, looks like sony's got some good newss with the HD-DVD and BLUE RAY disc war being won by Blue ray-developed by Sony adn also, got a good response for their SLR cameras whicha re performing good too, so, overall nice investment if you want to hold on for atlkeast a couple of quarters before u can actuallys see the results.

Yes. They recently won the hi def dvd war and they've got ps3 and psp. Look at their annual report. Solid company.

Many analyst claim that 2008 is the year of the ps3. I agree with them.

MZ.I'M 2 DAMN CLASSY
yes, it's a very good investment!!

Yes, as long as your are willing to hold the stock for a minimum of at least 5 years, as the company is well financed, and managed with great quality engineered products and trademark recognition. Buying At-The-Money LEAP calls as far out as you can presently would give you the highest return on your money although you will have to repurchase new ones after they expire.

No. They are already priced into the market including present trends and future goal. Unless something drastic happens, then I would say no.
