On October 3, 2008, Wells Fargo agreed to purchase Wachovia with Wachovia shareholders to get 0.1991 shares of Wells Fargo common stock for each share they own.
On December 23, 2008, Wachovia shareholders approved the takeover and the takeover is expected to be completed this week.
Therefore with great probability the takeover will be finalized and you are really investing in Wells Fargo. |

Alot of shops here in Atlanta wont accept any card payment with Wachovia. Not really sure why. But I'm guessing it's not a good idea to invest in a bank where no one wants to accept a payment from. |

there are many good news and gov. acting for 2009, all finance stock are close to yr. low and good buy...for most of them. that should be a small rally in new yr. days..till 4th or 5th, need to watch out after and keep checking with the news update. |
