Yes & No.
Yes if you have faith in the long term stability our of dollar.
No if you don't (and I don't).
In theory, nothing goes all the way down, unless there's a severe problem (which there kinda is, just a matter of when it'll actually explode). SO if the credit squeeze is just the beginning of realizing the fraud of fiat currency, don't invest in anything paper. |

Does the phrase " buy low..." mean anything to you? Many, many stocks and funds have fallen close to 8 or 10 percent...yes! it is a good time to " buy in".
The two areas you mention have good outlooks,also.
Don't dive in for quick results...think sort of long term and you most likely will come out ahead. ( Most " energy" stocks are coming up on their slow season right now...so don't go crazy there just now) |

It depends on you goals and your time frame.
If you want a long term investment, then right now is a fine time to invest. The longer you're in the market the better off you'll be.
If you want a short term investment, the stock market can be great or awful, depending on what you're investing in. |
