The austrailian stock market is expected to take a big leap in the near future. So the answer to your question is yes it is possible to make millions off the austrailian stock market. To back up my response an example would be austrailian airlines, it's growing rapidly and there advertisments are wonderful so you can be sure that they will be making some money, and if you invest in them you will be able to get money (and lots of it) as well. |

There is no 'yes" or "no" answer for this.
I must tell u that trading in stock market is nothing short of gambling.
There are more than a million factors that contribute to the rise and fall of stock prices. If you have the understanding and knowledge of stock market and aware of political, economic changes that are taking place globally mimute by minute, I won't advise u to invest 5 figure amount.
However, I advice you to invest 3 figure or low 4 figure amount to start with and observe how you are faring and as the time goes, you will learn by experience, how to invest and how not to.
Once you gain confidence, you can increase the investment.
One caution: Though you may get good money some times, I advice not to invest entire amount basing on that success.
Always keep aside 50% of what you got, and play with the remaining. |

It's just as likely as if you invested it in the US markets. What's so special about Australia? If you know what you are doing you can make money, if you don't someone else will make money... yours. |

yes, and having an Australian account gives you better rates of taxation than other NA accounts. Of course, getting an Australian account might be a bit difficult. if you're not a resident.
This, of course, always assumes that you're not an idiot when it comes to investments. it's a rough game if you're not constantly immersed in it, and definitely not something for amateurs to do as a living. |
