Is it possible to purchase stocks without applying a stop loss?

Rapa
Yes of course it is possible...
if u dont apply any stop loss it is normal market order...
if u quote your own price then its a limit order...

i hope u got it...!!!!!!!

vandana
yes u can . stop loss is only ur decision . its only to save u from heavy loss. but sometime putting stop loss also gives u loss. as stock which flectuate more should not be given stop loss. because they come down faster evey move faster.

You can place a stop loss when you buy the stock or any time after. Most seasoned traders believe that if their position turns against them by more than 8% to 10%, they have made a mistake. No time for emotion, just get rid of it, rescue as much of your capital as you can, and then more on to other pastures. A stop loss, well positioned, will do that for you. Let you sleep, take a day off. Think of it like a parachute. I put one on every position I take at the instant the trade takes place, while I have the chart on the screen, my attention on the data, my fingers over the keyboard.

yes you can do.... but it is advisable to trade with stop loss to avoid heavy loss.

Yes, for that you need to buy it at Market Rate.
While buying select the option "Market", instead of "Limit".

By this you will get the share at the rate it was trading at that particular moment.

ifs_enoch
Yes it is, but it is definitely to your disadvantage buying a stock without applying a stop loss.

Lets say the stock you bought is at $ 10.00, you did not put a stop loss, when the stock drop to $1.00 you would lost a lot of money.

Therefore it is not recommended you bought stock without stop loss

It is possible

llazyiest
Yes. That's just a regular stock purchase.
You can add one (stop loss) later if you feel the need. All you do is put in a sell order at a certain price that's good til canceled.
Even if your stock does drop, it's only a "paper loss" unless you actually sell it. There's always a chance of rebounding. Over the long haul they tend to.

It is possible. Not entirely wise, but doable.

Sir, Stop loss is just a safe guard if price goes up or down against your expectation. You can always purchase a stock by giving a limit price without putting a stop loss.

I am surprised to see one thumb down sign to this answer.Do people really understand what they are reading and why they are voting for? Or they are the same as our Indian majority democracy voters." Bhenrriya- dhashaan"(16Dec ; 19:20hrs).
