You should take a look at their balance sheet. They have 58 billion more in debt than they have in assets. Does that sound like a company that is going to be around much longer?

No, this recession could last 10 years if history is anything to go buy.
You are better off putting it in a safe bank and get 5% interest or more per year, now is a bad time for borrowers but a good time for savers!

No, general motors is never good to buy. You want to buy small cap stocks. You want a baby microsoft. Find a company growing by leaps and bounds, not a huge sluggish giant.

Nobody knows how the future will turn out. The best you can do is assess the risks. And buying a company in trouble with a lot of debt and strong competitors is risky.

The bigger risks you take the more likely you are to loose. But when risky investments do pay off. Then they usually pay off big, almost like the lottery.

Muncie Birder speaks TROOF.

I laugh when I see GM posts in the auto forums, too.

Only the ignorant think GM being well over $50 Billion bucks in the RED can stand stand around and do nothing and stay alive.

This is NOT an undervalued, but very much an overvalued stock.

Do YOU give money to folks that can not pay their bills? Like Enron? GM can't pay its bills and has little to sell to come up with $58 Bil short of a bailout, either!!!

GM's credit rating is WAY into JUNK rating status.

I dare you who don't believe to google 'GM credit rating'.

When the economy was good, that company only spent its money on Exec bonuses and UAW contracts. That was smart!

Yes. They are a huge company and will recover. They are in talks right now to acquire Chrysler and have an electric car that is due to be available in two years.
