If you want an insurance policy which could protect you in the event that the "paper currency" system ever comes apart, yes. All financial advisors would caution you about putting too much of your assets into gold, but a reasonable weighting should be in all investors portfolio. When you look at the size of the derivitives market and the size of all debt, especially government debt, gold begins to make a lot of sense. I might suggest www.jsmineset.com for the best, most advanced discussions of the gold market I know of if you have furthur interest. |
