Is taking bank loan profitable than borrowing from friends and giving them the interest?

Additional Details
The interest given to friends is the same as what the bank offers to its savings a/c customers. But is taking loan from bank better considering the interest rate we have to pay to the bank for a loan.

I honestly believe that it is never a good idea to borrow from friends or family, if it can be helped. When you borrow money from a friend, they have the right to turn around and demand the money back at any given time. It can often hurt the relationship, or your financial situation, if you can't pay the money back immediately. I've had this happen multiple times when I've borrowed money from friends and family, and I almost lost a friend completely when my friend never paid me back. At least with a bank, you pay it back within the agreed upon terms and they will never demand the money back immediately unless you aren't making your payments.

Hope this helps.

No, presumably your friends will give you a better interest rate than the bank, they have much less overhead.

PS: Loans always cost you, they are never "profitable".

pinkblush09_hp
loans are never profitable.,

for me it's better to borrow from your fiends rather than taking bank loans. who knows, you're friend might take you for consideration and don't give you so much interest, perhaps lesser than the interests the banks are getting.

Look at it this way, you are not only paying interest back to your friends but you must also pay thier "interest" in your investment. When you borrow from a bank they will want more information up front but as long as you are paying on the loan they will leave you alone.

nycil
depends on the interest rate on respective options

depends on your friends
