Supercali | Is there a (relatively) safe way to double my money in 6 months or less? |
I have seen ridiculous claims on the net that say they can give me a 25% return in one day. That was called HYIP. Of course they are scams, but is there anything real? |

Everyone here is correct. There is absolutely no safe way to double your money in six months, or even a year. Yes, you could luck out and pick a stock that doubles in that time, but you could luck out in Vegas, too - that doesn't mean it is a wise investment.
If you really want to achieve a goal, determine how much you need to save each month (or each paycheck), and start doing some sort of automatic savings program.
Mutual funds are a great way to do this - every mutual fund company has a mechanism for automatically investing money from your checking or savings account each month. However, if you'll be needing the money in six months, a mutual fund is too risky - stick with a money market account.
I hope that helps. Good luck! |

No such thing.
Finance 101: ALL investments pay back the same amount, once you adjust for risk.
No risk = low return.
Some risk = medium return
High risk = high return (or none at all)
To double your money in 6 months, let me introduce you to "The Rule of 72".
Take the amount of time you want the money to double, and divide 72 by that.
Ex: 72 / 6 months = 12 / month.
That 12 is the percentage rate you'll have to earn. 12%/month.
Most risky investments consider it a good return if you get 12% per year.
If some investment really performed as well as that claim, don't you think all the professional investors wouldn't have already jumped on it? |

Big pay off and very little risk in 6 months?
No. We all be rich if that is the case.
These internet claims are scams. |

what?

there is only 1 way that you can reliably do this.
SAVE!!!
it works every time. |

Go good stock traders hope to make 3-10% a month. Most are 3% or less. There can be better returns in more risky products.... but...... there is no safe way to make 1% a month on your money. you know hype when you see it. It's hype because it's simply not possible. |

The only way to safely (no risk) double your money in six months is to fold it in half. :) |

better stay away from scams like HYIPS - you should have your own managed account at least and not hand over your funds to anybody.
Prodigy Trading might be one of the best choices to be found from tomorrow at http://www.Forex4Investors.com |

Swing trade that money and it could easily double in 6 months, or you could lose it all...
if you're not an experienced trader, I would recommend Sportsbook.com instead. |

Okay, let's think about this logically for one minute.
Get out your spreadsheet...
If I gave you $100 today and you could double my money every six months how long would it take you to make me the richest man on the planet?
15 Years...starting with just $100!
Start with $100,000 and you will have $52 BILLION (!) in 10 years.
Start with $1 million and you will be the worlds first Trillionaire inside of 10 years.
Now, logically, if you had a method that could reasonably do that -- even with tremendous risk -- would sell it to ANYONE? Hell no. That would be stupid, because all good systems fall apart once everyone knows them. And, with a method that works that FAST you don't need anyone else's money to get rich quick -- starting with just $10k today you would have $5 million in 5 years and another $200 million in just two more.
You would keep it the worlds biggest secret until you died the worlds richest man -- ahem -- just like Warren Buffett is doing.
The very, very, very best (like Warren Buffett) end up with 10 year annualized averages in the 20% range if they are very lucky on top of very good. No one, I repeat, no one can have spectacular market crushing returns year after year for decades on end... |

If there were - everyone would be doing it, and that influx of opportunists and their cash would immediately wipe out the opportunity. That is why you may double your money as requested, but it won't be safe - abnormal returns require abnormal risk. |
