Leaving your money in the highest interest earning account overnight will earn you an extra days interest if the account pays interest on the daily balance. Keeping your money saved there and resisting the temptation to spend it needlessly is a good plan.

It's way risky to do that. Right now I would probably wait for the market to go up a bunch of points, then buy an inverse mutual fund that follows an index like the S&P 500. You would make some great money if this were September or October.
