Is this a good time to invest in the stock market? Why?

It's a good time to invest for the long term in Companies with solid fundamentals and large cash reserves.

The Stock Market represents real value to a certain extent, but mostly it's run by what's fashionable and what the analysts are pushing--along with excessive enthusiasms and panics.

A lot of sound and profitable companies are seriously underpriced right now. Buying into them now should pay off pretty handsomely in a couple of years.

if you invest in a stock of a company that is stable, then you could make a profit in the long-term. the problem right now is that it might keep on going down more. you should pay attention to the earning statements and check which sectors have money flowing into it. people will not be spending on luxury items. don't expect electronics to do as well as they did before.

Probably not a great time to invest in the stock market, but I think it is still a great time to invest in commodities, silver and gold.

well the aim is to invest in the stock market when it is at its lowest point so there is nowhere to go but up. It could be but you have to be careful that companies are not on there way down still or heading towards insolvency

If you invest in the right things yes I would stay away from anything in banking or american automakers

Very simple. Stocks are cheap and for those smart enough, it will bring big returns down the road.

We're gonna skip Investing 101 so you can go to that class on your own. What we will do is give you a "safe" guide to look for in the coming months. This is the "technical" side of investing and we will look at a chart of the DOW. The symbol is DJIA or ($INDU) and you want to watch the 200 MA (moving average). When it begins to climb upward (right now it's heading downward as the charts indicate) and the candlesticks touch it, you want to have your buy orders ready which means you've done your research on the stocks you're gonna buy.

I've given you some gold but I realize you probably don't know it yet.

Click on the two links to understand the charts. The first one is bigcharts.com. The next is stockcharts.com

Sorry, but I have some bad news! The links do not show the 200 MA so you will have to add those yourself by clicking on the drop down tabs...remember, if you can't figure this part out don't play with Wallstreet because they will steal you blind!
