It's always time to invest in mutual funds. They are by their nature diversified. There is no limit on how much you can invest. Unless you are talking about setting up a IRA, that is a different thing entirely and their are limits to that based on your age etc. |

Invest in a good fund fund like Reliance,Birla and SBI using SIP method so as to take advantage of the volatile market, you can enter anytime. |

Anytime should be good for a good fund. But I think it is recommended not to buy arround their gain distribution period (which is coming close i.e. around Dec.) |

Its alway a good time to buy mutual funds. Many funds allow you to automatically invest as little $50 per month. Please read my profile. If you would like some help in choosing a good fund family please send me an email or visit my web site. |

Investing in MFs is the correct move in present scenerio either in India or in Global markets. Amount'll be based on one's needs and capacities. It'll be different for each person. |

Anytime is good to invest in mutual funds. When using dollar cost averaging, you are investing a certain amount every month. Stick with whatever you're comfortable with. |

Generally, anytime is ok to invest in a good solid mutual fund. They are the preference for long term investements. When finding one, look for something averaging about 10% . Anything too high is unstable. Also, most funds have a minimum initial investment of around 2500$ often allowing you to add more in 250$ or 500$ increments. Of course numbers vary with each fund and investment firm.
Hope I helped,
Ryan

Stocks/Funds have only value, if someone wants them. Currently, I would stay away, until the troops are home, the military spending is under control, sub prime lending fallout is over and Bush is gone. Pay of your mortgage, buy a small car with 45mpg and stock up on some gold/silver, if you must. Stay away from promises of average returns, that's crap. Most mutual funds have lost 20% after inflation since 1999. |
