I really want to learn how to read and use the stock market. I don't know of any good books or websites to go to teach me about the stock market. I am a beginner so can u help me?

the show madd money can really help. honestly you don't need books. read the newspaper and watch the news. learn about the economy just by watching any stock market channel. daily newspaper, new york times... those things help. research online. don't waste your money on a book. www.nasdaq.com www.nyse.com

Wall Street slogan, ' Look around at our graveyard, those who are buried here all wanted to buy low and sell high '.

Quotating from the stock legend, Jesse Livermore, ' Nobody can master the stock market '.

Warren Buffett's famous slogan, ' the best time to invest is anytime when you have money '.

To invest in the stock market takes 2 most extreme but opposite directions. 1) Patience; Warren Buffett is the best example, or 2) Discipline; the stock legend jesse Livermore.

You can only be one or the other. There is nothing in between.

I don't know how one really learns to master by reading books, I think it's all done by trail and error.

Here is the best way to begin a new way of speaking and understanding market finance. !) Go to google.2) type in microeconomics.3)have a really good dictionary with you so that you don't miss the full understanding of the new terms that you learn.4) no longer believe anything that anyone tells you about how to invest your money, because you are on your way toward competing against ....me, if you can understand what your reading...from there, any really good division 1 college bookstore, and you've just saved yourself thousands.

Buy low, sell high.

;)

And do try fake-market games. They are a help to see if you have a chance.

Go to the book store and get Short Term Trading by Toni Turner. There are a ton of books out there that can help you. Don't make the mistake of reading part of the book and believe you can profit from it. In this kind of buissness you can never take anyones word for it and ALWAYS keep it in you favor.Read Read and Read some more!

Also, go to www.thinkorswim.com they have a paper money program you can use to practice on a working strategy. Entering, Exiting and money management.

Learning the market takes a very long time and if you stumble you lose. Just make absolutely sure you have read and understand what is going on around you.

Also, try Investools! They are a little expensive but they will help out ALOT!

The stock market is a huge opportunity and they only way to profit from it is through knowledge. Think about it.. the more you know..the more you make..

I would just experiment with Yahoo finance. http://finance.yahoo.com/# You can make a portfolio, and track some test picks (no money required).

Google (if you have an account) has a very good finance system with portfolios.

Right off the bat, go make a test portfolio, and grab up a few companys you know well. Yahoo, Microsoft, Google, Sony, AMD for example. Then watch them over a few days.

Once you are around the finance section, there is almost always help, or documentation very close by.

Getting in the market, and playing around is easy and you will undoubdetly be doing that after a week. However MASTERING it, will take brains, and experience, and close attention to news and deals reguarding the companies you havev invested in.

Don't buy a single stock until you've read Benjamin Graham's "The Intelligent Investor".

Graham mentored Warren Buffett in his early years so I think his princliples pretty much speak for themselves.

Don't get sucked into these day trading schemes... Stick to the proven power of value investing.

all right....i dont really know if you have tried the opinions mentioned above....but really if u ask me...

just read this book :
technical analysis of the financial markets - john j murphy....

it is the best book if u want to master the markets and understand what technical analysis is all about.....you need not go to any sites....if u have this book....i can assure you that this book is excellent if u want to know how to read the financial markets

note : reading newspapers.....pathetic magazines and watching news will only add to your basic knowledge on what is happening around you....but u need to learn technicals to know when to enter and exit a trade.....

rather grab some food and watch some action movie...with ur gf after you read the book i said....ok?.....and puhlllezzz dont even listen to rumours....the best way to trade is do it yourself rather that wait for analysts to tell you what to do....

good luck!!!
