but it depends on the service provider or broker
as far as me indiainfoline and sharekhan are cheap and best for trading but if u are not a trader then go for icici direct its interface is good and u wil find it more easy to use but it is little bit costly. |

Lot of brokers, don't charge any thing while opening the trading account, but at the same time, you need to check lot of hidden aspects of the trading account charges like yearly maintenance charge, statement charges, minimum billing charges, it will be better to get all the points from the brokers and decide who is right for you. I got some tips from the following site for the checklist to be discussed with the broker. |

you have to pay only the charges to open a dmat account. the bank or company where you have opened the dmat account will open a zero balance account for you. |
