Forget it as an investment. Few cards bring good money. You always here about the rookie Mickey Mantle card bringing hundreds of dollars but just like coins, comic books and a lot of other market driven collectables it all depends on condition, type and how rare it is. While a 1968 Roberto Clemente card many be worth something, other 1968 cards are selling on ebay for 25 cents. The biggest problem is finding someone who will give you what you think they are worth. That's the catch, something collectable is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. (except for sentimental value to yourself)
If you want the cards for yourself because your mom cleaned your room and threw them all away and you miss having them, then fine. Otherwise I would look for somewhere else to invest in. |

it depends on the cards, and also the brand adds valuue also. If it was a good baseball player than yeah but to put up 10 bucks for every player is just rediculous. dont let your friend jack you out of money, look up the cards online or something and see their worth. |

Not until each card is proofed for condition and authenticity. Each one will have a different value based on this and who the player is. |

If you are relying on others to tell you value of these cards and you don't have genuine passion, I would suggest don't buy. You can use that money for better purposes that excite you and are useful too. |
