It could also be hemifacial spasms or results of Bell's palsy (pretty unlikely). These fall into a category of blepharospasm. You might want to search on the web for these to get more information.
They could be a result of stress or not. Some people report that humming works (never worked for me). If they become worse, i.e. eye actually begins to close because of the spasm, they can be treated with botulism injections. If they persist or they worsen, it is always good to see a physician (which I am not). |

It could be a few things, have you had your eyes checked for glasses or a new prescription? It is caused by eye strain, I get this when I don't get enough sleep. Once the nerve is strained, it keeps happening when you get stressed. Mine finally healed, I rarely get this anymore but I used to get it years ago when I worked too much overtime. |
