My stock dropped 25% in after hours, what happened?
The stock HRP did great today and had 5.7m volume. No bad news about the company, actually no news at all! the volume in afterhours was significant though 700k+. What will it open at on Monday? could it bounce back to its price? most likely ?

Afterhours trading is like that, could have just been one bulk sell, but this happens alot, It will probably correct in pre market monday

Stocks go up and down all the time. If the futures are showing a 25% decline in a particular stock it could be for a multitude of reasons that may not be immediately apparent to you right now. The value could go up on Monday or it could go down further. Your broker should be able to tell you what's happening.

You should not be invested in stocks if you're worried about losing money in the short term. If you're worried about losing everything you have then sell at a loss and get out of the market for now. Better to walk away with 75% of your money than none at all.

Look at the chart. This stock jumps around a lot. It's currently bid at 2.00 which is just a little below the normal hours low of 2.04. Somebody wanted to jump on this at the end of the session and paid 2.66 and that went in the books as the closing price. It was just a spike. After hours, nobody was willing to pay this premium, but the way the displays work, the price change is a percent change from the previous close.

After a few random sales at the closing price, somebody blew out 733,000+ shares in one trade. The maket makers said to themselves, "We don't think we wan't some joker to toss another load, that'll do pig, that'll do" so they all bagged on bids to make the supply go away.

You wont see much out of this stock for awhile, at least until the economic stimulus package is well underway, like a lot of stock. There's even the chance that this company will go under. Sorry to tell you that.

The markets are not trading based on fundementals right now, they are trading based on investors emotions. People don't care how solid a company or investment is, or whether they're strategy is buy and hold or whatever. People are emotionally attached to money and when they see their statements they panic and say "I better get out before they aren't worth anything" It's completely irrational. Don't think people are too attached to money? Ask a buddy for a $20 bill and rip it up infront of him. See how he reacts. He'll probably flip out. Why flip out? You can tape it back together again anyways, but it's the going into shock part that gets to people. That's why the markets are swinging into triple digit losses one day and triple digit gains the next over the last couple months.

Well the stock gained .52 today and lost it all. I heard some kind of audit or bad numbers coming out Monday sorry no better help. GL

Ignore it. It's showing up on my quotes as a last trade of $2, but it isn't showing up on the tape. Last trade on the tape is at $2.66. Not sure where the $2 figure is coming from, but I'm sure that you can ignore it.

Unemployment numbers came out, today. That may have something to do with it. Although, on the contrary, apparently those numbers had a positive effect on the markets, which is a very positive sign.
