Jenny D | My want-to-be-investor BF swears by these stocks are they good picks? |

Not sure when you invested. Timing is very important. As of 2-22-2008, MOS is having a pull back. It may pull back and bounce off the 50 day moving average. CSCO has been in a down trend. Looks like it is trying to find support about $23. It may be down here for sometime. If you are in these stocks for a long term investment you may be OK. Time your sells appropriately. |

Why is he telling you these are good investments?
Is it something he heard on a radio show or Jim Cramer?
My personal opinion, they will probably decline in price with the rest of the stock market. However, no one really knows.
If you want to invest in the market, consider investing long-term in a DRIP Plan. I have had mine for 22 years and my average annual return so far is 10.4%.
They are seldom talked about because brokers make very little money when they suggest them. Yet, they have proven to be one of the best, if not the best, long-term strategy on Wall Street.
The best part is you get solid annual returns from well-known, safe Blue Chip companies like: McDonalds, General Electric, Pfizer, Walmart, US Bancorp.......etc........
They are inexpensive to start and maintain, and your dividends are reinvested for free.
They are perfect for small investors, as well as big investors. They are safe and allow you to not care about whether the market is going up or down. |

I am long Apple and i have to disagree with the guy above.
Apple is still expensive and I doubt we have hit the bottom so stocks like Apple and Google you better wait.
CSCO is a safe pick in a long run.
MOS is pretty good pick.
I also like HON, WMT, RTN, and BIDU. |

Mosaic is a GREAT pick! Cisco is a pretty safe pick but you won't make much from them in the next year or two.
For your 2nd pick I'd go with Apple (AAPL). It's rated 5 stars and its a strong BUY right now. You'll make ALOT more money from Apple and its a stronger company. |

M and A Management Services

My Investment Strategies; Circuit City (CC)
The talks of impending stagflation, in our opinions are miscalculated. Consumer Electronic companies especially Circuit City, rearing from mis-management, are undervalued in today's current market. The savy investor should consider Circuit City (CC) solely becuase of new management and a revised business plan that caters to consumers with increasing spending power. Circuit City is a spectacular buy at the current undervalued state, and is expected to rise in the near future according to most analysts. The company is under going major transitions as it attempts to stock shelves with higher grossing consumer products. |

If you bought these 2 or 3 years ago, probably a good choice. Otherwise if you bought them recently, you are probably doing some performance chasing. I would have taken this 4k & invested in a good mutual fund. |
