Not to be morbid, but is there an investment opportunity in the disaster in Minneapolis?
It appears that government all across the country is going to increase bridge inspection, maintenance and repair. Is there a stock or other investment vehicle that will benefit from that increase in spending?

I would guess some infrastructure play like FLR or SGR:

I dont think you can invest in a soul........if you dont have one by now, you never will.

You are on the right track - except that there is usually a lag between something happening, the government actually allocating the money, and firms getting contracts.

One stock you may want to keep an eye on is ASTE as they sell road construction/repair equipment.

zyberianwarrior
i doubt it seeing how the crew that was working on that bridge will perobably be charged with neglience.

Many engineering firms do the inspections and contract at the state or federal government level. You may could find a states firm that handles their engineering inspection on state web sites.

A Plague on your houses
If you knew the company that gets the clean up and construction contracts, I'm sure their stock will go up, if they're a public company.
