Should I invest in Iraq?

I want to invest $5000 USD. I've heard that Iraqs oil production is going to increase in the next few years by alot, and now would be a good time to invest in the Iraqi Dinar. I have never invested before and was wondering if someone here who knew more then I did could give me some sound advice on investing in currency.

Also, if I do invest in IQD, where can I get it exchanged later?

You've got the right idea, but don't put your money anywhere near Iraq. Put it into an economy such as the BRIC economies (Brazil, Russia, India or China). Those economies are growing exponentially and are going to stay on the rise. But there is a risk putting it into one of these economies, as they are EXTREMELY volatile, but the returns are massive. Invest in Gold, it's price is going up pretty fast. With 5000 US, you could probably buy yourself 6 ounces. Talk to a financial adviser. I'm only 16 so don't take my word!

The country is very unstable and the US will get kicked out soon, and your foreign currency would be worthless. If you want a real investment go buy some stocks or some gold/silver bars/coins since the inflation is so high now.

You sould do it. It would be the best in the world to do. That is what I did I am getting a lot of money from it for now anyway. You can go to the bank of you could get it exchanged on-line. That is what I am doing going to the bank.
