I think it's great that your interested in investing, and I think it's a great time to start if you can afford it. Buying now is a long term investment, however and its always a good idea to invest in different stocks. I would recommend buying from another fund since there are many great deals these days and FCISX has averaged around 3.4-4% yearly returns over the last 10 years. There are many funds that should give better returns.

Right now can be a great time to invest, or a very scary time. With you being 13, you have some time before you will need the money. So, you can risk the short term loss. Be careful, but if you know what you are doing, you can find some great values in the stock market. I won't comment on individual stocks, but have some help you do what you think is right for your future. You sound like you off to a great start. You resources online to further your investing education. |

No! I know people would say to buy now since stocks are low, but I think the economy will get worse. The best thing right now might be to wait things out a little bit longer. I think stocks are going to continue to dive so why invest now. I don't know when they will hit rock bottom but I wouldn't touch the stock market right now. |
