Some agents are saying that if we invest rs 10000 for 3 years we get 16lacs after 20 years is it true?

To invest Rs 10,000 for 3 years and get Rs 16 Lakhs 20 years from today, your investment will have to yield about 28.5% annually compounded rate of interest.

This kind of return is astronomical and is based on the current bull market scenario. The chances are, the next 3 years will probably yield 5 to 10% compounded rate of interest from the stock market.

Just ask your agents company to provide a written agreement that is valid in court. That will be the last day you see your agent. He wll not even return your calls anymore.

These agents (probably ULIP insurance agents) are perpetrating a legal SCAM. Guys and Gals, please KEEP AWAY from ULIPS. Instead, use your money to invest in some good mutual fund scheme and for insurance coverage simply buy a TERM INSURANCE plan.

If u r tokin abt Insurance than let me tell u tat it iz just a marketing startegy.U will b said tat u will hv 2 pay d premium for first 3 years and then forget about it nd u will get d sum assured nd d bonus after 20 years. It is wrong.Usually accordin 2 life insurance contracts if u do not pay ur premiums after 3 yrs (or at specified regular intervals)ur policy lapses. So never do the mistake of trusting those agents.

This is a recent LIC product.
What they are promising is true, if the market were to progress as per their prediction.
But the problem is no one can predict the market over such a long term, given that markets are influenced by "n" no of factors.

lokesh j
they use name of lic this is possible but it has one condition if after 20 year nse cross 100000 points then its possible and i think after 20 year nse cross only 60000 points so it is not possible care full

u r saying about lic's money plus -allocation 25% -it is not enough to get 16 lacs in 20 years,
but Bajaj Allianz Life Insurence Co.'s Capital unit gain-allocation-95%-it is enough to get more then 16 lacs in 20 years if market grow 15%/year

Deva
Yes, gagan this may happens.
in shares, or in Mutual funds or in ULIPs. but purley at your risk since all are depends upon share markets.
Direct Shares - high returns and high risk
Mutual funds - Moderate returns and moderate risk without life coverage.
Ulips - moderate returns and moderate risk and and with life coverage ie have a guaranteed risk benefit ( Sum assured).

If the agent is of insurance agents, ask them how much the allocation charges for your investments, what is the sum assured per 10thousand premium and what is the past performance of the funds of their corporate. and make a comparison.

my suggestion is if you are above 46 years go for mutual fund. if you are below 46 years go for ULIP.
Ulips with 5% aallocation charges, and 30% of sum assured and average of 30% returns in is best of choice.

the detailed comparitive chart regarding this may help you to decide. mail me I can give you the other related files.
