use a long/short strategy best is maybe a 120/20. anything related to Gold look good, and Munies yield is going up.
Remember when you loose someone is wining you just have to be on the right side. Short, short, pull options with some long positions. If you don't undrestand this you will loose your shirt in this market.
Good luck

You can't expect to make money in the market every day. It's never happened before, and the odds are, it'll never happen in the future.

Stocks and funds that drop in value are not necessarily a bad thing. Do a little research, and you'll see that after EVERY SINGLE drop in the market, it has come back, and gone higher.

Think of this as a time when stocks are on sale. Keep putting money into the things you think still have value, and at some point, you'll come out ahead.

BTUI, BBY, VLO, HAL, DFS. Those are mine right now. If you have questions about them I'll explain why I hold each one.

This article is an intro that hits the highlights on this topic: http://futurewealthplan.com/advisor/?p=7. Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be going more in depth on how to select stocks, especially during times like these.

One note before you sell what you've got: Everything's going down due to turmoil. Why did you invest in it originally? Have those characteristics changed? If you're in it for a strong reason, it should go back up with patience.

The market is tanking. The economy is bad and property is not selling. Therefore, I believe you best investments are in REITS, real estate investment trusts. My other choice is building supply businesses such as Home Depot because since no one is buying or selling property they are fixing up what they have till the market turns. Good Luck.

My advice would be not to invest at all right now.
