The best answer is not to put all your eggs in one basket. If after study you decide that China, India, Brazil, and Russia are growing faster than the rest of the world, invest in an emerging growth fund or ETF in which these countries are represented. If after study, you decide that commodities are still in a bull market and demand from China and India is likely to continue, invest in a commodity fund or in companies such as BHP or RTP or AAUK who stand to continue to profit nicely from the bull market in commodities. I wouldn't let someone else tell me what the best field to invest in is, I would do the research myself to convince myself which area was best. But, it's really hard to put everything in one area because even if you turn out to be right, the inevitable corrections may scare you out of a good position if you have to much of your assets in that one area of investment.
