If you have such a big problem with it, sell credit spreads in the option market and get some time decay going in your favor.
If you're not making enough money in this volatility, that's your own problem. If you're losing money in this volatility, thank God that you got to avoid getting crushed on Friday.

I always laugh that the market is "politically correct", the market is closed on Good Friday and Martin Luther King Day, but open on Veteran's Day and Columbus Day. I find it obnoxious too, but to me a day off is a day off, so I don't care.
