I use OptionsXpress and Think or swim. Optionxpress is very user friendly but expensive brokerage fee

Think or Swim great software friendly with reasonable brokerage fee

No such thing as best. I use Fidelity Investments. Beware that all those bargain trading sites have hidden fees or misleading advertising. To get the best rates you usually have to trade 30 times or more per quarter. Because of my account balance, my trades are $10.95 each with no minimum activity.

It all depends on your needs. i've been with schwab forever tho they aren't the cheapest regarding trading fees. Read the fine print on those low fees..often it's tied to you making a certain minimum number of trades. I do like schwabs online site.. easy to use.. good phone help. I almost moved my account but their office was the closest... in the event you need to make a deposit in a hurry that can matter.

I use Schwab, mainly because there is one close to my house and I can go in and talk to a planner in person if I need to. Also, like the first answer, there is no best. Just a matter of preference mostly.

it is subjective...........what are your needs? low prices ??Expert advise???.it is never the same company........
I use TD ameritrade.................cheap and a good selection of fixed income items..................puls cheap trade executions.............

Schwab kept dinging me with account service fees.

I switched to Scottrade. So far, not a problem.

I mostly use Finance.Yahoo.com to analyze stocks and track portfolios. Yahoo Finance has Stock Screeners; so far, they add no value for me.

If you are thinking of mutual funds check out Morningstar ratings.

I know people who like Valueline or Investors Business Daily ratings, or even the advice from Cramer's Mad Money, but I don't think they can compare with a simple purchase of BRK-B.
