Being that you are a student you probably do not have a lot of free time so trading "individual" stocks would not be a good idea.
I suggest visiting vanguard.com and learning about mutual funds and index funds. These are much better suited for people with limited time and knowledge of how the markets work. |

It depends on how much risk you are willing to take, and how liquid you want the funds... something like a CD is virtually risk-free but may not offer the best rate; money markets and mutual funds can offer a better rate but your return is not guaranteed. It also never hurts to open an IRA for yourself... a little planning for the future... just make sure you absolutley won't need to touch the funds until 59 1/2 years old. Hope this helps. |

buy apple stock!! ticker symbol (aapl). investing 10K five years ago you would have 255K. they are a revolutionary company and the growth is not done. the iphone and mac sales will push this company over the top. the ipod got the foot in the door. these products will knock the door off the hinges. dont believe me? dont invest and come back five years from now and see what you missed out on. |

buy some machines that sit on the bar tops that people play games on. go to local bars/resuraunts and ask the owner if they would let you put it there if they split the profit with you. they cost about $2500 each and you should get the money back in about a year. |

It depends on your financial needs and plans, how soon you might need the money and your risk tolerance. It could be a money market account or stocks, there just isn't enough information. |

It really depends on where you're at. I would start a Roth IRA and invest it for retirement if you haven't already. I know veteran's get retirement benefits and there's social security. Social security won't be around forever. Depending on your age I'd put in 5,000. It will gain and lose interest, but over time it has an average gain of 11% annually. Vanguard is one of the oldest mutual funds and even gained slightly during the Great Depression. If it were me I'd buy a few bred cows, but I have land and enough time to care for them. You stand to double your money. If not, I'd call around and see who had the best rates on CDs. Most average around 5% right now, but are FDIC insured. Whatever you do, don't invest it all in the same place. Spread out your risk and don't invest anything you will need in the near future. |

I found my bes investment to be online. This blog taught me about which programs I need and how to spend my money on products that help. It also taught me some things and now I make my living online. I was very happy with it, and my total investment to date is $200 or so. So you would be able to invest in other things too |
