I think now day’s investing other than stock market will be in real estate. Investment in property will give you higher profit but not more than stock market. But if you invest in Dubai property then your profit will be higher than any investment. |

A real estate investment trust or REIT. Some of the stocks are stable now and they are paying the highest dividends because it's a tax designation for a corporation investing in real estate that reduces or eliminates corporate income taxes. In return, REITs are required to distribute 90% of their income, which may be taxable, into the hands of the investors. This only applies to individual REIT stocks and not ETF/Index/Mutual Funds that compromise inclusions of failing real estate investment trust companies.
There are registered non-traded and private REITs also. These are basically real estate investment plans available through Financial Adviser Groups. |

long term: depends on your need for immediate or delayed returns and your risk appetite. This would include bonds (for very safe investments), real estate and commodities or (I know you said NO stock market but you got to consider it) mutual funds or individual stocks |
