What are key factors to be consider while we invest in mutual funds?
How to select a good fund and which basis we have select (like performance? Return? dividend?)

Mostly any investment the basis is the returns !
A good fund has a good track record , Growth funds are better as the money gets compounded . Also depends on the mode of investments like SIP is only available in Open ended schemens !
www.moneycontro.com mutual fund section has schemes and ratings . This is free site by CNBC and very informative
All the best !

look at the returns in the past. the fund size.. if the fund size is more then the money to play with is more. Entry load, Exit Load, then the nature of fund and fund life.. for example a closed fund which has just started will have a good performance in first 4 years

Look at the funds performance, against the index that it tracks, and the fees.

i'm rich, i'm poor, i'm rich, i'm poor. They're not too bad, seriously, just be careful beacause they are not insured.

According to my experience, Please check the performance of the funds you wish to invest in.
visit moneycontrol.com and valuresearchonline.com and find the best performing funds and invest in them
Do not invest all money in one fund, diversify the money.
Revise the funds on their performance and switch the funds whenever required.
Consider the SIP mode, which will reduce the risk.
If you invest in deciplined way and keep the money to grow for a long term, you reap better benefits.

good luck
