What are the best online savings accounts?
ing direst, immagrant bank... how are those banks?

Ang
ING Direct is awesome and great rates. Very simple to sign up and use. Only down fall is that the transaction period of moving money can take a day or two. But definitely would recommend ING. 4.25% rate is better that the usual 0.25%

ING is a good source, my spouse uses it at work, another choice is HSBC bank which has recently offered 4.65% apr, but they have to have a branch in your home state

truth
THERE IS NO ONE ELSE BESIDE HTTP://WWW.INGDIRECT.COM AND NOT ONLY THAT THEY ALWAYS COME OUT WITH WINTER / SUMMER SALE IN WHICH IF YOU TRANSFER MORE MONEY TO SAVING YOU GET MORE INTEREST THAN GENERAL..

ONLY THINGS IF YOU NEED MONEY IT TAKES 4-6 DAYS TO TRANSFER

man_about_the_net
www.citibankonline.com. Go to the e-savings account. It pays 5% currently, and if you want your money, go to a local branch and with draw it instantly. you can also get an ATM card with it. Also, it can come with a checking account.

No fee to set up and you can withdraw your money at any time.

Most online savings accounts like ING direct, Paypal, etc., take up to 2 days to transfer your money into your bank's checking account.

With the Citi e-savings account you can write checks on it at any time.

jackaufalotte
ing is now paying 4.25 on savings account. Transfer to or from your checking account usally takes just two days. Good outfit

Try going to the website: bankrate.com
It is a very well known resource for researching what institution is offering the best rates and it's updated daily.
Citibank is doing alot of promotional advertising right now also for e-savings accounts at 5.0% interest. A month ago it was at 5.60%.

Common Sense
WWW.GMACBANK.COM

FDIC Insured. Great service. Savings account includes;
Free Checks & ATM Card (up to $6.00 per month in ATM fees are reimbursed, from other banks... at end of month).

Current APY: 4.80%.
I love ING, but GMAC bank wins on services and rates!

======================================...
Interest checking accounts (3.01%), we use EverBank.com. They also reimburse ATM use (from other banks ATM's).

I think Emigrant Direct's American Dream Savings Account is the best. Interest is 4.80% and no fee, no minimums. It takes 2 days to be posted your deposit. And can not withdraw in 10 business days. It is very easy to transfer your money from and to your bank's checking account. you can do that 24hours/7 days.My bank's checking account pays 0.5% interest and money market's interest is 0.9%.What a difference!!!
