The most basic factors that influence price of equity share are demand & supply factors. If most of people starts buying then prices move up & if people start selling prices go down. Govt policies, company results or any other sector or company spcific news leads to increse or decrease in demand & supply of shares. Hence price of share is influenced. |

There may be many factors affecting the price of an equity share. On a broad basis there are macro and micro economic factors. Macro economic factors may be like politics, general econmic conditions i.e. how the economy is performing, government regulations etc. Then there may be other factors like demand and supply conditions which can be influenced by the performance of the company and ofcourse the performance of the company vis a vis the industry performance and the performance of the other players in the industry. |
