The quick answer is shorting a stock. The caveat IS shorting stocks, buying puts & calls, is NOT for the novice.
Shorting stocks is SPECULATIVE and can either make you a lot of money or lose more than you have.
That being said, educate yourself. KNOW and LEARN ALL the procedures, rules, and how it works and it can be a way to do well in a down economy.

but PLEASE don't open a margin account and start shorting stocks until you KNOW exactly how everything works.

u can buy put options for the scrip or index...it can give u gud profit in falling markets....or u can short sell the shares & can cover them at end of day when prices are lower. |
