Penny stocks are a special category all their own. They are subject to speculation and manipulation. A day does not go by that I do not get an email telling me what a great buy such and such penny stock is. These emails are sent out by people who have purchased the stock and are trying to drive the price up so they can unload. After they unload they have flooded the market and the price collapses again.

Rumors, trades, randomness, anxiety, the stock market is a kind of mirror of public perception, which may reflect the real state of a company, or be a total fantasy.

Penny stocks are highly volatile. Their percentage fluctuation tends to be quite high. The rewards that are possible are very high but you could lose all your investment. "Market makers" may try to influence the market particularly with penny stocks. Rumors, etc may float around. Use good judgment in analyzing and make YOUR decisions. Don't take my word for anything. I like King Resources, but you might not.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. crude supplies fell by 3.3 million barrels in the week ended Oct. 20, the Department of Energy said Wednesday. Motor gasoline supplies fell by 2.8 million barrels and distillate fuel supplies fell by 1.4 million barrels. Separate data from the American Petroleum Institute showed crude supplies down by 3.7 million barrels, gasoline supplies down by 2.3 million barrels and distillates down by 588,000 barrels. Analysts were expecting distillate supplies to fall, but were predicting gains for both crude and gasoline. Futures prices rallied with crude for December delivery up 94 cents at $60.29 a barrel after the data were released. Gasoline futures rose 3.9 cents to $1.5775 a gallon and heating oil added 3.58 cents to $1.73 a gallon.

People cause the price to go up or down.

Financial information and the future about the company allows people to decide whether to buy or sell the stock. There is always somebody willing to buy and sell the company stock. Agreeing on a price is where the up and down come into play.

Penny stocks have a radical up and down because well 1 cent can cause a large percentage change either up or down.
