The UK is the largest single foreign investor in the U.S., with some $252 billion invested (16% of the total stock of foreign direct investment in the U.S.)

Japanese investors account for 12% of foreign direct investment in the U.S., and rank second to the UK.

Japan and China are the largest owners of US debt. Thats not the same thing as foreign direct investment..

Australia, Venezuala & Saudi Arabia are the largest foreign investors in the US. Britain and Canada are right up there, too.

It's sobering that we're supposed to despise "foreign investors" and that Iraq, Iran, Syria, Russia & Cuba don't even show, isn't it?

I am almost positive that Canada is the biggest foreign investor in the US stock markets. And I am positive that the US is the biggest investor in Canadian markets.

The answers are above are jokes and these folks are messing with you. The answer is Japan, closely followed by China.

Michael Moore will have us believe that Saudi arabia is at least a major investor if not the biggest.
