Keep it in whatever it's in! Transactions costs of only a dew percent are sure to wipe out whatever you might save in the short run! Stop panicking - the time to do that was a decade ago.

i would say aussie, econmy is doing really well,and expected to do well for another 3-4 years

I would start with a currency that is beaten up and has gone down a lot recently than one that has gone up, is expensive relatively speaking and has more room to drop. Based on that criteria, the US dollar is probably a good place to invest.
