What's the risk?
Also, is that the Real rate of return or nominal rate of return? (ie. what is the rate of inflation and/or what is the risk free rate of return for a similar period).
EDIT: Its not impossible. Look here, the inflation rate in Zimbabwe is 11,200,000 percent!

In such a high inflation environment, your DAILY rate of return would have to be 103% just to keep pace with inflation!
Of course, if someone were to offer you a 6%-7% ROI in a stable economy such as here in the US, I would say its quite impossible, unless there was some extreme risk to it, or something illegal (such as the loan sharking mentioned by one of the ohter posters). |
