I think he is a great investor that has been doing well in the stock market. I don't think he is the absolute best investor, in fact I've heard he himself admits that anyone can beat his returns.

But I consider him living proof that anyone who stays at it can become great. He shows the power of the stock market and compound interest.

I think he's a pretty smart guy. It's cool to see the people on CNBC interviewing him, all of them are wondering if the economy is in a recession or what the stock market is going to do in the next week, and he just laughs and doesn't really care because he invests for the long term.

I've learned not to get shaken out of positions when a stock I own goes down for no good reason. In fact, that's usually a good time to buy more, when the price is low!

Warren Buffett is an amazing man who has a knack of seeing potential in businesses which need capital, putting his investment in place and letting the management do the rest. He controls from a distance, is not an interferer and recognizes talent. Those who started with him at the beginning need not worry where their next meal is cooking.

He's the man. What can you say about a man who makes some 60billion doing what he loves and doesn't leave his kids a combined 1 million because he's "given them the commodity of knowlesge which is far more valuable." And, although he can buy an island he lives in the same house he had before he was wealthy and has one car a Cadillac woth about $40k.. and upon his death will leave 90% of his estate to charity to help the less fortunate... I mean once you make six figures, it makes sense for you to be Republican because YOU benefit from the policies, yet he makes 11 figures and is still Democratic... a man who wont invest in Google because he doesn't understand technology?

Buffett for President...!!

Warren Buffet is an extraordinary guy! He is as smart as a planet and i am not sure how smart that could be! Investing in the most popular stocks, was a wise choice, even though there were bumps and downs back in the older days. He is a very good player, especially in ping pong and at his work, where is making all of you learn off of his mistakes. If you don't like Warren Buffet, you don't like part of yourself, because he helps you complete yourself!

I guess if having billions makes you great.....

Didnt he disown his granddaughter (cut her out of the will) because she talked about his money in an interview? And now she is scrubbing floors for the rich making below poverty wages
